Tim's 1967
Shelby
This
is an E-mail He sent me.
Hello
Paul,we exchanged letters a few months back regarding my quest for
a 67 Shelby.Well ,I bought the one owned by Nakira,on the same web
site as yours"the car source/67 Shelby" went to Toronto, and brought
it home to Colorado.
My Shelby is brittney blue too. vin#67200F8A01715 .
The
engine isn't origional,has 2x4 manifold and carbs,racing cam w/
solid lifters. Therefore I'm not going to restore it totally stock.I
really dont know exactly what direction i'm goin till i get to speak
to alot of members in the denver S.A.A.C. chapter.I just want to
have a reliable car to tool around in the warmer months. And I would
never park it on
the streets of Denver at night.Gonna look for a good car alarm,
with a starter kill switch.
I spent 20,000. US dollars.Flew to Toronto to inspect it for 2 days, looking
for major rust,collisson damage(bondo) rusted shock towers,etc.
it is in real good shape, except for body rust under the paint near
the rear air scoops.its kinda bubbling up.looks like it has 4 or
5 layers of primer ans paint. when i have the time (AND MONEY) to
restore the body i will sand blast and powder blast(baking soda)
to bare metal. Then have a good body-man bringing it back up. My
funds are quickly running low. I had it transported from Toronto
to denver for 1,500 dollars. unsafe to drive it home, bad breaks, hadn't
been run for 5 years. I'm getting ceramic coated tuned Hooker Headers, man
do they look awsome. i will send you some pics of the restored engine
comp. when it comes home. went to my first S.A.A.C. colo. chapter
last nite. A guy there has a Brittany Blue # 01702. thanks for your
help,
Tim
